Job Summary: Responsible for the design, specifications and management of installations of integrated systems.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that systems are commissioned honoring the design SOF, Technical Scope of Work, and customer intent.
Confirms that that system design meets the scope of work and is congruent with the client expectations for system operation.
Modify system engineering as needed while documenting redline updates on system drawings.
Provide clear and concise documentation on any configurations needed for successful implementation (i.e., network configurations, video settings, DSP settings, etc.).
Identify and assist in change orders during project installation phase and notify Project Manager.
Diagnose and correct system deficiencies and develop effective solutions.
Establish and maintain positive and effective line of communication with other team members.
Ensure project managers are well informed on status of development effort and programming status of assigned projects.
Participate in the development, implementation, and documentation of control programming standards to include graphical appearance, custom code, and system functionality if one has not yet been established.
Ensure all new code adheres to the Solutionz standards and complies with the Solutionz “standard templates”.
Program audio DSPs to meet system functionality to and EQ the system to provide optimal performance based on the system requirements.
If needed, assist other departments with technical support issues.
Ensure fabrication and installation efforts adhere to AV best practices.
Complete system test and acceptance for installations both remotely and onsite.
Perform R&D tasks both in house and in the field as needed.
Work with Solutionz departments to support technical escalations from the Field Team.
Ability to be a team player as well as work independently.
Mentor less experienced technical staff.
Perform other tasks as requested by the Field Engineer Team Lead and/or Director of Engineering.

Requirements
3 years’ experience in a technical role.
Programming training from Crestron, Biamp, QSC, AMX, and others.
Ability to program/troubleshoot basic control systems and touch panel GUIs.
Experience with loading, trouble shooting, testing code onsite and remotely.
Ability to closeout projects through commissioning of system functionality.
Experience with programming various DSP products configurations and control.
Significant understanding and proficiency with audio principles.
Knowledge of Cisco, Polycom and Lifesize VTC products to include their programming/setup.
Knowledge of AV system design.
Knowledge of network infrastructure, OSI model, and critical terminology.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to think and work independently and meet necessary deadlines.
Ability to interact with field personnel, management, and customers.
Occasional after-hours and/or travel may be required.
